PEOPLE FIRST in Economic Prosperity
Mark Nair will fight to ensure working class PEOPLE are treated with fairness, dignity, and receive a living wage. As an entrepreneur, Mark knows that true economic prosperity comes from the middle class-out and the bottom-up. Mark will fight to strengthen working families by lowering tariff inflation so your dollar can buy more. Mark will make sure YOU benefit, not billionaires and corporations who are taking advantage of a broken system. The US economy and the PEOPLE'S wealth should never be at the whim of one person. Tariffs are up to Congress, not the president. Mark will bring that power back to the People's House where it belongs and stabilize the chaos in the economy.
Mark Nair will seek to secure PEOPLE’s healthcare as a right, and not a privilege. The working PEOPLE of America are its heartbeat - from farms to factories. Yet, our healthcare system is not working! Far too often we hear another account of a person, having broken down their body working for a living, only to be saddled with thousands in medical costs. Neighbors have lost homes, friends retirements reduced to pennies, young families left broke after their child’s cancer diagnosis. PEOPLE are suffering, and our current leaders provide talking points rather than solutions. Americans will spend $6 Trillion a year with our current system, padding the pockets of corporations and pharmaceutical companies, at OUR expense. Mark will work for transparency in all medical costs and prices and work toward Medicare for All, making your costs fair, reasonable, and affordable. Our rural hospitals and healthcare clinics have been cut to the bone, and some will close. Mark will support increased funding for these hospitals and clinics. We need to expand this crucial access so PEOPLE can have affordable and highest quality healthcare close to home. No company, domestic or foreign, should ever immorally enrich itself from an American’s health condition.

Mark Nair will fight to secure PEOPLE’s right to affordable housing. The American dream of homeownership has never seemed more out of reach for Americans than it is today. Corporate giants are buying up single family residences far and wide, then charging a premium to rent them. Americans are suffering from this unregulated takeover of the housing market. PEOPLE spend their lives running the American economy, and deserve the dignity of a living wage and a home they are proud of. By expanding federal incentives for building affordable housing in underserved communities, restricting corporations from seizing single family homes, and protecting renters from predatory companies, Mark will fight to return the American Dream to the PEOPLE!

Mark Nair is a bold, responsible, and transparent leader that will put PEOPLE FIRST in Congress, not serve a certain agenda or leader. He will bring accountability, integrity, and compassion to the halls of Congress. In turn, Mark will advocate for strong ethics rules, a ban on stock trading in Congress, term limits, and less time at fundraisers and more time with the people they represent. America cannot afford corruption or leaders who ignore the struggles of their neighbors. Mark is a leader who serves the public good, not himself, and will fight tirelessly to deliver on his promises to the people of Congressional District 13.

PEOPLE FIRST in Water Security
Mark Nair will ensure PEOPLE have safe drinking water that reaches every small town, rural area, and urban city. Everyday, PEOPLE turn on their taps to brush their teeth, clean their clothes, and hydrate in the Texas Summer. But what happens when the water we depend on has run out? Water is in demand throughout the State of Texas, and growing every day. But our aquifers are running dry, we face sustained drought, and farmers need clean water and good soil. Mark will fight to secure water rights for PEOPLE by expanding federal grants for new technologies such as water desalination, clean water infrastructure, and research into the best science on how to replenish our aquifers. Mark opposes corporate exploitation of our region's water resources.
Mark Nair will work to ensure PEOPLE have access to high speed broadband, especially in rural communities. In a world that’s increasingly online, access to fast internet can improve education, expand healthcare access, and open the doors to economic prosperity. Through new technologies our communities across the country can be more interconnected than ever, at a far lower cost! Whether it is a municipality enhancing their water systems to provide better quality services, to an individual receiving tele health services, It is time to connect THE PEOPLE to opportunities everywhere!

Mark Nair will champion Immigration Reform that treats PEOPLE with dignity, and demand a system that is fair, humane, and efficient. One that secures our borders while honoring America’s values. America’s strength comes from all who live and work here. Yet our immigration system is broken. Families are left in limbo, workers are exploited, and communities are stuck in uncertainty. Reforming our immigration system means creating a real path to citizenship for law-abiding families, visa programs that meet labor needs in farming and industry, while also shutting down for-profit detention centers, and giving DREAMers the future they deserve in the only country they have ever called home. America’s promise must be extended to all who seek to contribute, not withheld for politics.
Mark Nair will seek to improve federal farm programs that assist farmers with funding, avoiding debt traps, and leading to financially sustainable farming. Agriculture affects the lives of every American, every day, even if many do not think about it! Here in Congressional District 13, we know the importance of our farm and livestock communities. From the jobs that are created to feeding America, our farmers and ranchers are a critical part of our shared economic success, and WE THE PEOPLE will advocate for their success. In conjunction with other policy initiatives, WE THE PEOPLE will seek to expand technologies and secure water rights, expanding the security and available opportunities to our neighbors in agriculture.

Mark Nair will put PEOPLE FIRST with the right to privacy and peace. Everyday, the average person is bombarded with spam calls, texts, and emails. On average, Americans receive five (5) unsolicited spam messages a day! We have had enough! America’s privacy is not for sale. Mark is committed to strengthening federal consumer privacy laws to protect personal data and reduce unwanted solicitations and put PEOPLE back in charge of their Right to Privacy. The unregulated industry of data brokers that get rich off of America’s private data must end, and Mark will deliver legislation to do just that.

Mark Nair will fight to so that PEOPLE have access to universal Early Start programs to give every child a strong beginning, free community college to connect students to real careers, and fight to end predatory lending. Education should open doors, not bury families in debt. Yet today, too many Americans are stuck paying for decades because of a broken system. We can do better! Mark will fight to demand student loan forgiveness, so PEOPLE can buy homes, start families, and build businesses instead of being chained to banks. Education is not just a personal gain, it is an investment in PEOPLE, and it must be open to all, not just the wealthy.
